Just some friction in The Machine

Posted a new self-photo. You can see I was barbequeing at the time. My stepson's cat (bottom right) was very interested in the cod on the grill. The old self-photo (5/11/2003) is here just in case you want to compare.

Washed the beamer today. (old beamer photo) The front bumper fell off. The local BMW dealer didn't have the bolts I needed in stock. I got them at the best hardware store in Sacramento. Don't know how that happened, but I put in two new bolts, it isn't going anywhere now.

Local police are gearing up for demonstrations at the agriculture conference that starts here on Monday.

Doug Kenline is back from his vacation to visit his hometown. Glad it went well for you, Doug. And I'm glad you made it back safely. I missed reading your blog while you were gone. To answer your latest question, I am not a We The People Congress County Coordinator. I currently split my time between Sacramento, California, and Curry County, Oregon. Sacramento County has a very able coordinator in Brett Heeke of Folsom, CA. Curry County, Oregon doesn't yet have a coordinator, so I'm tempted to sign up to it, but I'd have to be doing it remotely from Sacramento quite often. I'd think someone who's there full time would be better suited, yet a part-timer is better than nothing. I'd also consider being coordinator for Del Norte County, California, as there's not one there currently either, but again, same location issues. I guess I could sign up and then train and mentor a replacement when I'm contacted by a local. Whad'ya think?

The USDA is planning an international agricultural meeting in my hometown of Sacramento, California this next week. The media here is already saturated with stories of how our local police plan to prevent another Seattle WTO event. Wishful thinking or propoganda?

I'm on a mailing list for Larken Rose. In the last week I've been inundated with e-mails explaining why Larken believes the tax-honesty movement is confused and barking up the wrong trees, specifically the We the People Foundation, and Irwin Schiff. Larken says he's put a plan in motion that *will* work to bring down the IRS fraud. Interesting that we're now waiting for significant news from We the People Foundation, and Larken Rose, and progress in the courts for Irwin Schiff. I don't agree with Larken that the 16th Amendment issue is moot. He's probably correct that the Supreme Court would still hold the income tax constitutional sans the 16th Amendment, but he doesn't see how the average American ("Fred" in Larken-speak) will be mighty pissed off to see that they've been systematically lied to, harrassed and abused under a grand conspiracy over 80 years. I would love to see some people like Floyd Williams (legislative affairs director of the IRS) be prosecuted under RICO statutes.

I read a book from 1984 over the weekend by former congressman George Hansen called To Harass Our People. Obviously a courageous man ahead of his time. It's no wonder that he was wrongfully accused, persecuted, jailed, and removed from Congress. I say wrongfully because that's what the Supreme Court says. It took twelve years to figure out he was a martyr, not a crook. I wonder who's next on the IRS hit list?

Devvy Kidd has been named Executive Director of the We the People Congress. I met Devvy at the Operation Stop Withholding meeting in Rancho Cordova, California. I think she's a great choice.
