Just some friction in The Machine

Interesting article in the Washington Post on the IRS looking to outsource collections. Wouldn't that bring up problems with criminal investigations, warrants and the "law" enforcement aspect of collecting taxes? Won't Bob Schulz have a grand time with civil charges against collection agency employees acting under "color of law"? Then again, maybe it would be a good thing for taxpayers; maybe we could get some cases into the criminal and civil courts instead of administrative tax court where we might get a fair shake instead of a stacked deck. Woe to the company that decides to take on the IRS workload, not only will they gather the hatred that the IRS has earned, they will find that they don't get the government's immunity when they're sued by private citizens. Go ahead IRS, bring 'em on!

Doug Kenline says that he's being called for jury duty. Before he goes, he should definitely visit the
Fully Informed Jury Association website to review his rights as a juror. The judge certainly won't tell him that he has the right to judge the law and the facts. One citizen can make a difference here, just need to know it.

Irwin Schiff today responded to an e-mail from the IRS to Gene Chapman. In the IRS e-mail, they take the position that they will not respond to any inquiry that relies "on a frivolous position". That's quite a position for our executive branch to take! As I stated in a letter to the IRS last June, "So while an agument may be "frivolous" to the court, it does not make it "frivolous" in general, or specifically to the legislative branch." Or in this case, the executive branch. The judicial branch finds these arguments "frivolous" because the judicial branch has no remedy it can require. The 16th amendment was declared ratified (fraudulently) by Philander Knox, but still the courts must accept it, lest they be in violation of Article V. The courts have specifically said that the ratification of the 16th amendment is a "political issue". Yes, it's frivolous to the courts, they can't do anything about it, it's still a valid question though to the executive and legislative branches. For them to stand on the court's position is clearly hiding what they know to be true. Why not answer the questions? We know why, it would show the truth. And the truth will set us free!

PS to Doug: Thanks for setting Irwin up with his blog. It'll be good to read how things are going with his case.

Met up with some members of the local We the People Congress at the Chili's restaurant in Folsom, CA. We discussed strategies for a couple hours. Our most pressing action item is to come up with a storyboard for a training program. Our county coordinator will be contacting the state coordinator to submit the idea (and a storyboard) for a 1 hour training video. We think it would make sense to have an introduction to The Cause that is scripted, something along the lines of

  1. Start VHS tape - Intro (Bob Schulz) "Welcome...........and now to your county coordinator
  2. (minute 5) stop VHS tape - County Coordinator: "Hi, I'm Brett, thanks for coming....yada, yada.....
  3. Start VHS tape - Question 1 (Sherry Jackson) "These are questions the government should be able to answer. Is the income tax a direct tax or
    an indirect tax?
  4. Question 2 (Larry Becraft) "Where is my tax liability in the law"
  5. County Coordinator (reading from script) "Do you believe it's your right to have your questions about the law answered? Why won't they answer?"
I think you get the picture.....
Follow the lead of the military, make the "training" scripted enough so anyone can do it. Supply the resources (VHS tapes and county coordinator speaking script). Make it easy to be on
the same page as everybody else. Refine the message. Focus on the commonly accepted points. Make other resources available: the American Free Press 8 page newspaper. Devvy Kidd's booklet.

Tonight is the first meeting of the Sacramento Chapter of the We the People Congress. I met a few of the members on May 1st when Bob Schulz was in town for the Stop Withholding Tour. Right now we're just trying to get organized to further spread the word without working at cross purposes.

Thanks Doug for the template. I managed to get the counter working on my own server rather than web-stats.com. Your earlier post speculated that Sacto means Sacramento, and you are correct. I am in Sacramento, California. It is a beautiful day today, I'm sure we're getting close to the 100+ degree days of summer. I posted a picture of me working on my laptop, updating my blog. If you look at the big picture you'll see it's a beautiful day, and I'm pretty relaxed out on my deck. Not a bad way to go while being friction in the machine.

Speaking of friction, I have posted my latest letter to Congressman Ose (May 4, 2003) explaining how the IRS lied to him, me, and Congressman Pombo.
