Request Status of FOIA request dated 8/19/2002

 

Dear FOI Officer:

 

Attached please find a COPY of a FOIA request I sent on August 19, 2002.  Pursuant to the

Federal Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. s. 552, I should have received a response within

the statutory timeframe of 20 business days.  As it has been 4 months since I sent this request,

I currently ask for an update on the status of the original request.  This request was additionally

sent directly to Floyd Williams as well as my Congressman on October 24, 2002, that is, two

months ago.  I have not received a response to ANY of these requests.  As the IRS is clearly

in violation of the statutory time frame for either producing the document or a statement of

exemption from disclosure, I ask that you expedite processing of this matter.
